is relaunching a new series of fundraising events in Nottingham designed to support local charities, grassroots sports clubs and community organisations across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

The Fundracer initiative brings together live greyhound racing, fundraising and affordable entertainment, giving local groups the opportunity to raise vital funds while enjoying an exciting evening out close to Nottingham city centre.

The events are part of the stadium’s ongoing commitment to supporting the local community and helping organisations across the region continue their important work.

How the Fundracer events work

Taking place at the Colwick Park venue, the Fundracer events will give local charities, sports clubs and not-for-profit organisations the opportunity to raise money in a fun and engaging way.

Each participating organisation will receive 100 free tickets to distribute or sell to supporters for up to £8 each, giving groups the opportunity to raise up to £800, with all proceeds retained by the organisation.

The fundraising opportunities continue throughout the evening as each group will also be allocated a trap number. Across six races, points will be awarded depending on where the greyhound in that trap finishes.

At the end of the night, the organisation with the highest number of points will receive an additional £100 bonus, providing they have brought at least 50 adults through the turnstiles. Under-18s can attend free of charge.

Supporting Nottinghamshire community groups

Located just a short distance from the River Trent and Nottingham city centre, Nottingham Greyhound Stadium has long been a hub for local entertainment and community events.

Through initiatives such as Fundracer, the venue continues to strengthen its links with charities, grassroots sports clubs and community organisations across Nottinghamshire and neighbouring Derbyshire.

The upcoming event on Friday 5th June will welcome:

  • Little Eaton FC
  • Crusader FC
  • Bingham Cricket Club
  • Nottingham Sea Cadets
  • Derby Pride

The Greyhound Inn, a local community pub will also be in attendance fundraising for Jerry Green’s Dog Rescue and John Eastwood Cancer Hospice.

Each organisation will promote the event across its own networks, with money raised helping fund equipment, facilities and vital charitable services within the local community.

Community entertainment with a purpose

“The events give groups the opportunity to raise funds in a way that’s engaging, enjoyable and effective while also giving people a great night out in Nottingham.

“As a long-standing part of the Nottingham community, we’re committed to supporting the people and organisations that help the area thrive.
